The axolotl can regrow its limbs, spinal cord, heart, and other organs.

This means that if an axolotl loses a limb or sustains an injury, it can regrow the missing body part with perfect functionality. Scientists are studying the axolotl’s regenerative abilities in the hopes of developing new treatments for injuries and diseases in humans. Interestingly, the axolotl is also able to regrow some body parts that other animals cannot, such as its jaws, inner ear, and parts of its brain.
